This collection of sites grew out of the many Internet workshops and demonstrations I did for the public library between 1993 and 1996. I was always keeping my eye out for the weird, the wacky and the funny. Some of the really great ones have gone away but there are always new and interesting sites to take their place.

Bored.com - This is new to the list. A collection of interesting sites to visit when you're bored and looking for something to do. Kind of like this entire list.
Mama's Dining Room - Here is one of the first web sites I used to demo. It's from Ragu and showed how a company could promote it's product and have fun and information too. It also has a great URL - http://www.eat.com/.
Epicurious Food - Another one of my early demo sites. Still holds up and has gotten better. Check out the recipes.
Center for the Easily Amused - Billed as "the ultimate guide to wasting time online".
Roadside America - The online guide to offbeat attractions along the highways across America. The real deal.
Museum of Questionable Medical Practices - Speaking of real. The title of this site says it all.
AFU & Urban Legends Archive - And now the unreal.
Museum of Unnatural Mystery - Real or unreal? You decide.
Klingon Imperial Diplomatic Corps - These guys are definetly not real and they sure have a lot of time on their hands.
The Fabulous Bud E. Luv - Now this guy is having fun.
Elvis Home Page - The original. The unofficial. The Elvis Home Page.
Tabloid News Service - From Elvis to the tabloids. The net is full of people venting.
pissedOff - Lots of venting. Lots of interesting reading. Who are these people?
Salon - This is one of the places where there is good commentary writing on politics, technology, the arts, and business.
Slate - Another place with opinions on everything.
Star Wars - There are many, many Star Wars sites on the net that are not official but are good. Here is one.
Gothic Gardening - Something different from the dark side.
Dermatology in the Cinema - A web site devoted to skin conditions in the movies.
Psycho - Since we've on movies.
Internet Movie Database - OK, here are the rest of the movies.
Internet Crime Archives - Here is some of the stuff movies are made from.
The Book of Zines - Movies have fans and fans have zines.
Disney Secrets - From hiddenmickey.
The Wienermobile - I remember seeing this thing coming down the street when I was a kid with some guy waving from the top. It was the 1952 version. Check it out in the Time Machine.
Codpiece International - This was just too strange.
Love Chemicals - And it gets stranger.
Peeping Tom Homepage - Not what you think. This is a collection of web cameras from around the world. They could be pointing at anything.
Useless Pages - One of the very earliest collections of strange web pages.
