OVERVIEW:
Math 105 is an introductory course covering various topics in finite (non-calculus) mathematics. The course is geared toward people majoring in disciplines outside of natural sciences and engineering. By presenting some mathematical concepts/topics coming from everyday-life type situations, it aims to improve participants' reasoning skills and problem-solving techniques. It also provides a nice foundation for those people who wish to further continue into a calculus or a statistics course at a later time.
