WELCOME!!! This page has three types of information available: material about my personal life and background; information for students in my courses, and pointers to some spots where you might find me on the Internet. I hope that you will find this information of interest.

Thank you for visiting!

PERSONAL: I was born in Teaneck, New Jersey, and raised in nearby Dumont (NJ). Subsequently I graduated from Fordham University (B.A., M.A.), Woodstock College (M.Div.)--now a Research Center, Yale University (S.T.M.), and The University of Chicago (Ph.D.). Currently I am Chair of the Department of Religious Studies & Theology at Canisius College and am a Jesuit and a Roman Catholic priest. Until its final release in January 1997 I also did beta testing for NCSA's Windows Mosaic.
