Canisius Ambassadors for Conservation

This is a program in which Canisius College students study wildlife in the field, and meet with conservation workers at the frontlines of our efforts to preserve threatened habitats.

This year, the CAC program will focus on the importance of wetlands and forests in the conservation of wildlife in British Columbia and the State of Washington.  The principal focus will be on migratory birds. A secondary focus will be on marine mammals.

Here are some of the program highlights:

 - Spring break travel to the Pacific Northwest

- four additional training days in April (Sundays)

 - all travel expenses covered by the PCDP program

 - 24 public service days at Iroquois Nat’l Wildlife Refuge in May-June

 - $500 stipend paid to each student

This is a special program for special people.  It is for students who care about wildlife conservation and who are willing to promote environmental protection.

If you think this might mean you, please explore all of the pages on the CAC tab above.
