Human Population

The increasing human population is the major factor contributing to the destruction of the rainforests via deforestation. As the number of people on the planet grows, cities and roads must be expanded to accommodate the vast number of people.  In the process, forested lands must be cleared to make way for the cities and roads as they are built.

With the human population growing at an exponential rate, it is important that we set up reserves and take precautions to make sure that our activities have as little effect as possible on the natural lives of the rainforest wildlife -- before it is too late.
