Florida 1999

In February of 1999, a group of 10 CZS members travelled with Dr. Noonan to Florida where we visited Merit Island National Wildlife Refuge and Blue Springs State Park.  We all had a wonderful time as we took canoes through the Refuge's marshlands birding and when we spent an afternoon observing manatees and snorkelling in a hot spring.  We also spent some time on the beach observing shorebirds like Ruddy Turnstones, and observing wild dolphins.  We had a very successful trip, as we observed more than 70 different species of wildlife.
