Write-up on Genetics grades 7-8

We will start by examining how alike and different humans are. We will then discuss what Aliens would think if they came to this planet and how they would group the objects on Earth, including humans. We will also extract DNA from different items.

The Red Team

5^th and 6^th grades: Al Derrico, Brian Sepe, Diane Slowiak, and Kristen Tramontana

Students will be engaged in creative hands-on activities in the content area of genetics. Atudents will take an inventory of their traits, participate in lab-testing for specific traits, extract their own DNA, and explore the “gene-team” webquest!
