These pictures were originally taken with a 35mm camera and processed in the usual way. The negatives were then scanned using a picture scanner, which converted them into a JPEG format, which browsers can read.
You may download these pictures to your computer by right clicking on the picture and then clicking on Save This Image AS (you can do the same thing by clicking on File and then Save As). If the picture can be enlarged by clicking on it, you should do so before downloading.
If you would like to use one of these pictures as wallpaper for windows some browsers (Netscape and Internet Explorer) actually have utility that allows you to save a picture as wallpaper. If you right click on the picture you will see an option that allows you to set the picture as wallpaper. If the picture is a thumbnail (that is small) left click on it to get the enlarged version before you download it as wallpaper.
